Second Beach Pool Description
Second Beach Pool is perfect for families with kids of varying ages. The entrance on one side is gently graduated, making it ideal for little splashers. Bigger kids can zoom down the water slides and swim in the deeper water. At a maximum depth of 5 feet, though, there's no diving. The heated, fresh water pool offers spectacular views of the ocean waterfront and is just across the path from a playground, concession stand, and restrooms. Beach and salt water lovers can venture down to Second Beach for beach combing or lifeguarded ocean swimming.
Kid Tips
School-Age Kids: Tell cannonball-loving kids ahead of time that they aren't allowed to avoid disappointment and scolding by lifeguards. Bring quarters so they can search for them underwater.
Planning Notes
- Use the rest rooms in the concession stand before you enter. There's no bathroom once you get inside the gate. Even though a hand-stamp lets you in and out, it can be a pain to traipse in and out.
- Bring thick towels or blankets. The pool is surrounded by cement, which can be a bit uncomfortable for sunbathers.
