Vancouver Trolley Description
A ringing bell, fresh air, and entertaining tour guides make the Vancouver Trolley a fun way to get an overview of the city. The replica, turn-of-the-century, San Francisco-style trolleys trundle through downtown, Chinatown, Gastown, and Stanley Park, with plenty of Kodak moments along the way. You can stay on the trolley for the entire loop, or hop on and off at any of 24 stops and attractions. One 8-year-old boy enjoyed the prized jump seat next to the driver, with the privilege of ringing the trolley bell at each stop.
Kid Tips
Babies: The City Attractions Loop Tour is two hours long; an ideal respite for napping babies and tired grown-ups. If you're using a stroller, be sure to fold it up before you get on the trolley.
School-Age Kids: Ask if kids can ring the trolley bell. If the jump seat is empty, a child can sit up front next to the driver. They'll also enjoy following the journey on the tour map in the trolley brochure.
Pre-Teens & Teens: Put young adults in charge of the camera for photos in Stanley Park and English Bay. The tour will also give them ideas for other fun activities.
Planning Notes
- Go in the morning. A ticket on the trolley is good for two full calendar days with on and off privileges, so make the most of it.
- Buy tickets from the driver. Although there's a ticket booth in Gastown, you can hop on the trolley at any stop in the city and get your tickets on board.
- Save a buck. Visit the Web site ahead of time to get a $1 discount coupon.
