Rogers Centre Tour Experience Description
"Whoa," one youngster says under his breath. Standing in the middle of a football field big enough to hold the Roman Colliseum will do that to you. This tour is all about perspective — from the VIP seats to the media booths — visitors get a behind-the-scenes look at a big city stadium. The Blue Jays Hall of Fame museum gets you up close to replica trophies from the glory years — and if you top it off with tickets to a game you could be parent of the year.
Kid Tips
Toddlers & Pre-K: When they're tired of listening — let them run around in the small parkette at the north end of the stadium, or watch the commuter trains pulling in and out of the station just below.
Pre-Teens & Teens: Forget the overpriced T-shirt you were planning to buy as a souvenir and pick up a personalized (with name and number) Blue Jay Jersey for $39.99.
Planning Notes
- Space for you. The Toronto Star Family Fun Zone offers cheaper tickets and access to a kids play area where they can stretch their legs (climbing equipment and video games) and their skills (there's a batting cage on site) in between innings.
- Ditch the strollers. There are steep steps in spots and finding an elevator would mean serious backtracking. Opt for a sling or carrier instead.
- Call ahead. Tours run daily on the hour starting at 10 a.m., but game days or other planned events can change things.
- Go Now. There's a set washroom break before the tour gets rolling, take advantage. Once the tour starts washrooms may not be as accessible and chances are the tour will carry on without you.
