Observatoire de la Capitale Description
Kids get a giant's perspective of the city from 221 meters off the ground. A fun interpretive circuit takes them from spot to spot in the 360-degree windowed space and presents kid-friendly information about the views. A great first stop in the city, kids can pick out some of the key historical places to visit on the trip (The Citadel, Chateau Frontenac) and get a lay of the land's two mountain ranges and historic St. Lawrence River. Who knows? They may even pick out a few new places to see.
Kid Tips
Babies: It's easy enough to wheel them around up here while you take in the views.
Toddlers & Pre-K: They'll likely care little about the written information. Opt for a guided tour or pick up a map and play "I spy" stories above the city.
Pre-Teens & Teens: They'll probably get the most out of the written information under the windows and it may even stir up memories of a history class or two.
Planning Notes
- Free Wifi. Whether you're perched outside the building or up in the cafe, you can make use of the free wifi to catch up on quick emails and send pictures home.
- Not for the faint of heart. Kids prone to vertigo? Skip it. The tallest building in the city is sure to bring it on.
