La Baie/The Bay Description
Montreal's oldest and best loved department store (located in the heart of the shopping district), is a perfect place to buy souvenirs, find great Canadian-made clothes on sale, and start your downtown shopping experience in a city known for its sense of fashion. The entire fifth floor is dedicated to children's clothes and toys, with beloved European character toys like Tintin pencil boxes and Snowy ("Milou" in French) stuffed animals that are not available in the United States.
Kid Tips
School-Age Kids: The Bay is a great place to stock up on fashionable back-to-school clothes.
Pre-Teens & Teens: The fifth floor has clothes for children up to 12 years old; older teens will want to head for the young adult racks on the lower floors.
Planning Notes
- Combine with a visit to Saint Catherine Street. Start at The Bay and then explore the entire neighborhood of boutique shops, upscale designers, and unique trinket and souvenir stores.

What we didn't love:
its a store
Its a store. Thats it. More fun probably for women unless you are used to shopping in nicer stores where you are from then you will probably chuckle. Take your kids here if you need to punish them for something. Read More
