La Plage des Îles Description
An idyllic place on Île Notre Dame just a few minutes by car from downtown Montreal, this beach is a family hot spot complete with soft white sand beaches, a play structure, lots of lifeguards, and warm shallow water. Kids can splash to their heart's content in the clean, fresh water of the manmade lake; there are plenty of picnic tables under shade trees; and you get a great view of the postmodern state-owned casino that was once the French Pavilion during Expo 1967.
Kid Tips
Babies: Suit up. Everyone needs a bathing suit, even kids under 1.
Toddlers & Pre-K: A nice, partially shaded playground and shallow water make this a preschool paradise.
