What kids really like to do in Chinatown is wander. Check out the stores selling cheap tchochkes, eat a pork bun from a corner stand, and peek into the fish shops to see all kinds of sea creatures (many of them still alive and swimming). Break up your day with an early lunch of dim sum, the small Chinese dumplings stuffed with delicate mixtures of chicken, shrimp, or pork. Or get the inside scoop with a tour: "All About Chinatown" offers walking tours guided by knowledgeable locals, many of whom grew up in the neighborhood.
