Babies: The puppeteers expect noisy crowds, so bring the baby.

Toddlers & Pre-K: If you live within driving distance, your preschooler can join Tico's Puppet Club and get birthday cards and puppet craft kits.

Pre-Teens & Teens: The morning shows might be a little babyish for older teens but you can take them to performances with more mature themes.

Planning Notes

• Don't go hungry. No food service is available in the theater.
• Good views. The stadium seating and the raised stage mean that every seat in the house is a good seat.
• It's next to a nice playground. Plan to spend some time at Pepper Grove Tot Lot, a great playground in Balboa Park.
