Musée Méchanique Description
A part of Fisherman's Wharf, a walk into the Musée Mécanique (French for "mechanical museum") is like taking a step back in time before video games, iPods, and other means of 21st century entertainment. Inside you'll find the world's largest privately owned collection of musical instruments and antique arcade machines. They're all coin-operated, and it's easy to spend handfuls of quarters on fortune-telling machines, player pianos, dancing characters, and more.
Kid Tips
Babies: Sudden loud noises or music emanating from the machines might scare or startle sleeping babies.
School-Age Kids: Machines like the hand-cranked World Series game, racing game, or bicycle game will delight sports fans.
