Golden Gate Park Description
Your kids will never tire of climbing the park's famously steep Drum Bridge in the Japanese Tea Garden, or looking for carp in the lily ponds. And while you're admiring the intricate Victorian-era glasswork of the Conservatory of Flowers, they'll be counting the dead flies inside the carnivorous plants. Then there are the windmills, the paddle boats at Stow Lake, the buffalo -- the list goes on.

Kid Tips
Toddlers & Pre-K: They'll love the park's children's playground -- one of the biggest and best in town -- and carousel.

What we loved:
flower gardens, birds, museums, model boats at Spreckels
What we didn't love:
the golf course
This is hands down one of the most beautiful parks Ive ever been to, with a great variety of exotic trees and birds. Too bad there were no picnic tables by the lakeside, only benches to sit on. A very popular dog-walking destination so be careful if you have kids who are scared of dogs. Awesome place to relax with your family. Read More
