Planning Notes
- Be ready to walk. The Animal Park is big (very, very big). Walking around can be tiring even for adults. Wear comfortable shoes and dress lightly during the warm months, as it gets hot in this part of town.
- Take your time. The park is in the mountains east of San Diego. Allow most of your day for the visit, as the drive time can be about an hour from the heart of the city.
