Ice Skating by the Bay Description
It's a rare treat to ice skate outdoors on the West Coast, and the to Ice Skating by the Bay seasonal rink is particularly festive. Located at Custom House Plaza near Fisherman's Wharf, it's perfectly situated so you see the colorful sights of the wharf and the pounding waves of the bay as you spin around the ice. Hot chocolate, fudge, popcorn and other goodies are available at the Old Fisherman's wharf to refuel chilled or hungry kids.
Kid Tips
School-Age Kids: Bring socks and a change of clothes just in case. The ice can get wet on a sunny day.

- Rent skates here.They're available in all sizes right at the rink for a reasonable charge.
- Have a bite. Concessions available include snacks and drinks.
Just the Facts
Hours: Open daily, weather permitting, from Nov 18, 2011 - Jan 8, 2012. Monday thru Saturday, 11 a.m.-10 p.m.; Sunday, 12 p.m.-8 p.m. Open all holidays.
Fees: $12 adults, $10 child (age 12 and younger), plus $3 skate rental for all ages. All sizes from child 9 through men's 13 available. Military Monday discount; buy one get one admission on Monday.
