UCLA Description
Tour one of Southern California's most prominent (and beautiful) campuses -- it's never too early to get kids interested in college. Of greatest interest to college-bound teens and preteens are the tours given here on weekdays only; reservations are necessary. Before, after, or instead of the tour, you can visit the Franklin D. Murphy Sculpture Garden, where art meets nature. Kids can romp among the displays, and you'll have some great photo ops. The Mildred E. Mathias Botanical Garden, which specializes in subtropical and tropical plants that are usually only in the U.S. and greenhouses, is also a good place to skip and stroll.
