Perfect for the whole family

Escape Reality the title of the two hour show at Magicopolis says it all. From the minute we walked into the door we were instantly entertained. Even before we were seated for the show my husband and I found ourselves participating in magic tricks at the bar with the bartender and there were two more magicians performing in the lobby for the kids! Its such a cool atmosphere right when you walk into this place. You instantly feel welcomed like you were invited to a really cool private magic party with friends. After seeing some magic close up we were seated for the show and its incredible. Its a huge show with music and comedy and audience participation. We got to witness a lady float right before our eyes, have her body completely smooshed, saw a man escape a burning rope and deadly spikes, read audience members minds, and that is only the half of it! I havent come across another form of entertainment in LA even comparable to what this place has to offer. It is truly a one of a kind experience! Whenever I have visitors from out of town I always take them to Magicopolis and it continues to be just as entertaining as ever!Read More

Classic magic at its best as well as tricks I have not seen before. All routines are original. The show is very upbeat, witty and engaging, this show had me laughing and amazed. I also liked the free late night show with guest magicians and comics.Read More

What we loved:
Amazing up close illusions and magic
My family and I took a trip to California and we all agreed this was our favorite part of the trip! It is rare that we all enjoy the same movie let alone a magic show, but we were all pleasantly surprised!
We came across Magicopolis after we spent the morning at the Santa Monica Pier and the Third Street Promenade (its just one block over on 4th street) We went and got a tour of the place. There is a huge theater in the back with stadium seating and their is a bar and a magic store too! My nine year old bought and learned some really cool card and coin tricks while my parents bought us tickets for the show that night. We came early and my parents had some drinks in the bar poured by a magician/comedian while we hung out in the lobby seeing more tricks and loading up on candy and popcorn. Then on to the show " Escape Reality"
The show was amazing! Steve Spill and Eleanora kept my whole family entertained. Among the many illusions and tricks we saw Steve escape fire and spikes, read audience members minds, and Eleanora float in front of our eyes all done through music, comedy and storytelling. We all were rolling with laughter throughout the show and we all agreed it was our favorite part of coming to California even my older 20 year old sister who is too cool for everything agreed!!!!Read More
