Dinosaur Caves Park Description
A sort of "roadside attraction," Dinosaur Caves is a private park where, in fact, there have never been any dinosaurs, other than a gigantic man-made statue that was torn down some years ago. However, there are some great caves and cliffside views. And soon, if the community is able to raise enough funds, there will be a a spectacular dinosaur-themed playground that younger kids will love. Currently there's a picnic area, sandboxes, and some cool big rocks to climb on. An ongoing art in the park exhibit features some interesting outdoor sculptures, and a monthly event, art in the park, happens the first Sunday of every month May through October. With barbecue, live music, and art exhibits, it's a lot of fun, so if you're in the area then, make sure and come.
Planning Notes
- There is food available. The in-house pub features basic move house fare, such at hot dogs, baked potatoes, nachos, and popcorn if you need a quick pre-show dinner in a pinch.
