Pueblo Grande Museum and Cultural Park Description
Take your family on a walk 1500 years back in time, when the Hohokam culture thrived in this part of the country. You'll have a chance to explore an excavated ball court, the last remaining intact irrigation canals, and full-scale reproductions of Hohokam homes. Kids' interactive activities help youngsters get a feel for what life was like long ago.
Kid Tips
School-Age Kids: The Explore Archaeology exhibit features hands-on activities that teach kids about archaeology and give them a chance to build their own miniature Hohokam village.
Planning Notes
- Hot, hot, hot. It gets very hot on the trails during the summer months, even while standing under the umbrellas they give you. If you can, plan your visit for any other season of the year.
- Bring a picnic. The only food and beverages available come from vending machines, but there is a picnic area.
- Wheels welcome. The trails are stroller- and wheelchair-accessible. Wheelchairs are available on-site.
