Yavapai Point Description
Located relatively close to the main visitor area, Yavapai Point offers some of the most spectacular views of the inner canyon, as well as the Colorado River and Bright Angel Canyon, so you can gauge if you really want to venture the 1.5 miles down. Once you've snapped your shots, check out the observation station, where exhibits explain the geological process that formed the canyon, and the bookstore, with plaques below the windows to explain exactly what you're seeing through them.
