Indian Garden Description

About halfway to the top of Bright Angel trail (4.5 miles below the South Rim), Indian Garden is a scenic rest spot rich with vegetation, cottonwood trees that provide shade, and natural springs that feed Garden Creek. Also rich in history, the area has been visited by humans for 10,000 years due to its accessibility and abundant water supply. Experience Garden life yourself by staying overnight at the campground, which can host up to 50 people. Look out for mule packs, which often use Indian Garden as a rest point on their way to Plateau Point or Phantom Ranch.
