Grand Canyon Helicopter Tours Description
The official helicopter ride of the Grand Canyon is offered by Grand Canyon Helicopter Tours, and departs from the heliport on Highway 64 at the north entrance of Grand Canyon National Park Airport. (Not to be confused with the North Rim; this is still at the South Rim.) Most popular is the Imperial Tour, which lasts 45 to 50 minutes and lets you zoom over the Painted Desert, Colorado River and as far as the Eastern Canyon. A shorter version, the North Canyon Tour, lasts 25-30 minutes. Caveat emptor: You're definitely going to feel this in the wallet.
