Grand Canyon Railway Description
All aboard a restored Pullman, parlor car, or the famous glass-roofed dome car for one of the most spectacular journeys your kids will ever take. The only train still servicing a national park, the historic Grand Canyon Railroad is two and a half hours of fun, including a Wild West shootout and roving actors and musicians who entertain with cowboy songs and skits about frontier life. Plus, the 65-mile trip ends just 200 yards from the canyon's edge. What could be more convenient?

Kid Tips
Toddlers & Pre-K: Despite the length of the trip, there's plenty of action to hold short attention spans. If not, the gentle rocking of the train may lull them to sleep.
Pre-Teens & Teens: Even if your teen scoffs at the "shoot-out," he'll appreciate the gorgeous scenery leading up to the Grand Canyon, as well as the old-school experience of train travel.
Planning Notes
- Make a day of it. Consider their full-day package, which includes a round-trip ticket, lunch, and a coach tour of the rim.
