Resurrection River Float Trip with Chugach Outdoor Center Description
Float lazily down the Resurrection River, trailing your hands in the cold-but-gentle water while expert guides do all the paddling. You'll start near the base of the spectacular Exit Glacier, then glide through eight miles of scenic splendor. Kids will love spotting wildlife like eagles, sheep, moose, and bears. Grownups will appreciate the non-stop views of the gorgeous Resurrection Valley. Perfect for kids and novices, there's absolutely no whitewater — just a relaxing ride and lots of photo ops.
Kid Tips
Toddlers & Pre-K: Kids must be ages 6 or older to go rafting.
School-Age Kids: ring energy bars or other small snacks for kids who might need a pick-me-up.
Planning Notes
- Reservations are required.Reserve early, at least 30 days in advance if you can. It's best to call — you can reserve online, but it still requires a follow-up call to plan the details.
- Dress warmly. The air is a little cooler on the water, so bring a sweatshirt or dress in layers. Raingear and boots are provided.
- Bring sunglasses and a camera.You won't want to miss taking pictures!
