Spencer Spit State Park Description
Named for the spit of sand that surrounds a saltwater lagoon, Spencer Spit offers nearly 140 acres of fun for families. Kids will love building forts on the driftwood-laden beach, and the gradual slope makes it easy for little ones to wade and splash comfortably. In addition, it offers a truly unique attraction: an archaeological Indian campsite. Reservations accepted.
Amenities:
-
Waterfront/oceanfront; boat sites; tent sites; group sites; walk-in sites; toilets; dump station
Planning Notes
- Parties of eight or fewer. Most of the campsites on Spencer Spit allow a maximum of eight people. However, one site allows ten people and two "group sites" are available.
- Consider driving. Spencer Spit is only 4 miles from the ferry terminal, but it's also one of the few San Juan Island parks that's accessible by car.
