Colonial Houses Historic Lodging Description
Kids love returning "home" to one of the 26 charming period houses scattered throughout the historic area, using eighteenth-century keys to unlock the door to their house. The family-sized cottages, some with as many as 16 rooms, offer a real feel for eighteenth century living with low ceilings, replica furnishings, and quaint accessories; modern conveniences include telephones, room service, and updated baths.
Planning Notes
- Share alike. Many of the homes are two stories, with upstairs/downstairs accommodations; some families will find themselves sharing space with other families (most homes feature separate entrances for each accommodation).
- Resort privileges. Guests of the Colonial Houses have full resort privileges at any of the restaurants, pools, and activities offered at the Inn, Lodge, and other historic area accommodations.
- Seasonal savings. Off-season (January-March) pricing can be as low as $99/night for a Colonial House.
