Refuge Inn Description
Although the rooms are a great value, the indoor/outdoor pool is a nice way to cool off, and the resident pony adds to the charm, this hotel's location is what sets it apart from other island hotels. Just down the road from the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge, the hotel serves as a convenient hub for exploring (bring your bikes) and for relaxing when the day is done.
Planning Notes
- A room with a view. Although some of the east-facing rooms have a view of the hotel's pony, they also overlook the parking lot. Ask for a room facing the pool instead.
- Cycle on. If you didn't bring bikes from home, rent one of the 200 available next door at the Bike Depot (including beach cruisers, tag-a-longs, tandems, kids' bikes, and child seats).
