Little America Hotel Description
There's nothing "little" about this hotel—it has 849 well-appointed rooms and one of the biggest indoor-outdoor pools in the city. A good choice for families on a tighter budget, the rooms are so sound proof you'll think your family is the only one in the hotel. Kids will never tire of swimming under the wall of the indoor pool to get outside, even in the winter (it's heated).
Planning Notes
- Don't miss the popular Sunday brunch. You'll find as many locals as tourists waiting for the delectible offerings here, particularly on holidays—the lines are sometimes out the door and around the block.
- Bring perishables. All of the garden rooms ($149 per night) have refrigerators. In other rooms a refrigerator or microwave can be rented for $25 for the stay.
- Check in early. Standard check-in time is 3 p.m., but with so many rooms available early check-in is usually not a problem. Check-out at noon or call the front desk for a little extra time.
- Cribs available upon request at no charge. The hotel has no roll-away beds, however.
- On the TRAX line. Public transportation is free and convenient from the hotel.
