The Peery Hotel Description

This historic hotel caters mostly to business travelers but has so much 1910 charm (crenellated moldings, the original registration desk, and hardwood pillars) and such a personable, helpful staff in such a convenient location downtown that families enjoy staying here as well. The oldest continually functioning hotel in Salt Lake City, it has 73 rooms available, windows that actually open (so old-fashioned), and two good on-site restaurants.

Take TRAX. The hotel is on the free section of the TRAX line downtown; take the light rail anywhere you can't walk.
Reserve a corner room. They may cost a bit more but they're the most spacious and sunny rooms at the hotel.
Ask for a room with a tub. If your kids need their nightly bath, make sure to get a room with a tub (some only have showers).
