Harborside Inn Description
The façade of this hotel is so quaint, kids will feel like it's part of a movie set. Even better, about half of the rooms are bi-level, with a sleeping loft for the kids that will make them feel like they have their own space (and give Mom and Dad a little extra room for post-bedtime relaxation). The hotel is located in the wharf area, right in Christie's Landing, near numerous restaurants and stores.
Planning Notes
- Reserve ahead. The hotel is small, with only 15 rooms and reasonable rates. Rooms are booked early.
- Eat and park. Rates include a continental breakfast and a place to park the car.
- City or water. Some rooms see city lights, some rooms see boats. If you have a preference, make sure to ask about availability.
- Go directly to jail. Historic Inns of Newport, the proprietor of the Harborside, also owns another Newport property, the nearby Jailhouse Inn (yes, it has a history as a jail).
