Hyatt Regency Newport Description
Waterside rooms (particularly those with decks) can feel like staterooms, the perk of being located on Newport's Goat Island. Even the pool, with its salt water and deck over the water, gives guests the feeling that they're on a cruise ship. For kids, that may be second to the hotel's sweet spot: the fire pit for toasting marshmallows (ask for s'more kits at the front desk).
Planning Notes
- No construction zone. After a lengthy rehabilitation, the hotel is mostly complete. The indoor pool is still being worked on, but guests have the outdoor pool, and, even better, a break from construction noise.
- Flexible schedule. The Hyatt is a bit more flexible than some about minimum stays. Festival weeks, they're a given. But, ask—you may be surprised.
