Eby Farm Bed and Breakfast Description
When the rooster crows at Eby Farm, you can choose to wake up and help with the chores ... or you can roll over and go back to sleep until you're called for a hearty, delicious breakfast. With two homes located on a picturesque working dairy farm, the Ebys have six rooms and one apartment for rent between the two houses. Kids will delight in feeding calves, milking cows, cuddling kittens, giving an apple to Charlie the horse, and learning first-hand about life on a dairy farm.
Kid Tips
Babies: Pack 'n Plays are available in both houses.
Toddlers & Pre-K: Rooms are stocked with a few toys to keep kids happy.
School-Age Kids: The owner's children give the tour of the farm, which will help your children feel more confident when they milk the cows and feed the calves.
Planning Notes
- This is a family-friendly working farm. Bring some older, closed-toe shoes for the tour of the barn.
- Tell your kids the ground rules. If you're staying at the farmhouse, there's one rule -- no going up to the barn without an adult. There's a fence around the property, so it's easy to set boundaries.
- Choose rustic or posh. The farmhouse is warm and cozy, but not luxurious. Choose it if you want to feel like you live on the farm. Select the newer house if you want to be away from the farm action. Both are beautiful.
- TV detox. Televisions are available in the common areas of both houses, but you're going to have to share -- or, better yet, forego -- the TV and spend some time playing games or sitting on the porch and talking.

An experience that will forever be a part of our hearts!

What we loved:
EVERYTHING! The Eby family members are priceless!
What we didn't love:

My two daughters, ages 6 and 8, my mother and I just returned from the best, educational, relaxing vacation in Lancaster County staying two nights with the Eby's. My only regret is that we didn't stay there the first night we arrived in PA. We stayed in room B in the original farm house. It was clean, welcoming and Lynnette is a wonderful breakfast cook. The milk for your coffee is straight from the cows next door, Mike is patient and willing to answer all of your questions, and we had a lot. Words cannot decribe the Eby children. My daughters have made lifetime friends and experienced life on a farm first hand from the best 'little' host and hostesses. I came home with more respect for honest ,hard working people like the Eby's who cherish faith, love and family. They are a true inspiration for all. We are looking forward to going back and will definately stay on the farm. This time trying room B.Read More
