WONT GO BACK!
By SammieJo87 July 11, 2008
What we loved:
The Pool, The Beach, and the A/C in the room.
What we didn't love:
Look Down.....
When we first got there it WAS very nice. The staff was nice and friendly. Around the second day we went into Cape Hatteras to do sight seeing. I didnt have service in Cape Hatteras, so when we were coming back I had a voicemail from the Outer Banks Game Warden. Saying that our dogs had been inpounded that evening because they were very loud. We later found out that the staff went into our room when we asked for NO ROOM SERVICE. The staff said our dogs were being so loud that you could hear them at the pool. We had next door neighbors that said they never heard our dogs park even once while we were gone. The man downstairs didnt hear any barking either. He also said that the staff went to our room after we left and kept walking by and jiggling our door handles. And we had a stranger do the same and not even a peep came from the dogs. My BF went down to talk to the staff and they were extremely rude, raising their voices at him and seemed like they were covering up what really happened. The staff also spread "rumors" around the hotel that we had abandoned our dogs in the hotel room. If, I had abandoned my dog, I would at least had to take her collar off that had my name, phone number and address on it dont you think? So, after we hot our dogs back that night from the shelter it felt extremely awkward to walk around the hotel with or even without the dogs. The staff was constantly watching us like we were criminals! It was ridiculous!! So, its safe to say that we are not returning to this hotel. And, if you want your pets to be treated better than ours were, dont go to Quality Inn John Yancey in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina. Read More
