Don't let the dressed-down lobby fool you. This cool little hotel is ultra modern in every way. Newly updated, it's just steps from Lake Placid's adorable downtown, so you can walk around, shop, eat, and most importantly, get ice cream after a long day in the outdoors. And at the end of the day, even dirt-loving kids won't mind cleaning up in the best showers. Ever.
Planning Notes
- Simplify your life. One lone (and small) elevator makes getting to your room a trial, especially if you have luggage. Ask for a room on the fourth floor which gives you the luxury of walking directly out to the roof parking lot.
- Morning Joe. You could order up room service. But, as a (much) less pricey alternative, walk a couple of steps up the hill to A New Leaf Coffee House where morning goodies include egg sandwiches, muffins, scones, cereal, and of course, lots of coffee.
