Resort at Squaw Creek Description
The Resort at Squaw Creek sits at the base of the ski mountain best known as the site of the 1960 Winter Olympics. The rooms are comfortable, and the budget-conscious can opt for a suite that comes with a kitchen (you'll save a ton of money dining in). Visiting in summer means skiing isn't an option, but there's still plenty to do. Grown-ups will enjoy the Robert Trent Jones-designed golf course, and a full-service spa. For family fun at the resort, you can swim, hike, bike, go horseback riding or take the cable car to the top of Squaw Valley and check out the views from the mountain's summit. At the top is a huge swimming pool and an ice skating rink that is open year round.
