Unexpected freebies make this locally-owned hotel a hit with families. Kids like making their own waffles at the buffet breakfast, diving into the pool and swimming under the wall that separates indoor and outdoor sections, snacking on tortilla chips and soda at "happy hour," and chowing free popcorn all evening. Forest Park attractions such as the St. Louis Zoo are less than a five-minute drive from the hotel.
Planning Notes
- Log on. The hotel provides free Wi-Fi Internet access. For those who don't bring their own laptop, two computers in the lobby are available at no charge.
- Don't expect baggage help. While the staff here is very friendly, bellmen are scarce. Luggage trolleys are available, however.
- Order in. The popular Italian restaurant Bartolino's Osteria off the lobby makes a convenient dining choice. The kitchen will even deliver pizza via room service.
- Refrigerators included. There's no mini-bar in the room, but the miniature fridge will conveniently cool beverages, leftovers, and baby food of your own.
