Eastover Resort and Conference Center Description
Remember when you were a kid and went to camp with your best friend? Eastover's where you get to go to camp with the whole family. Basic cabins are clean and simple (read: zero frills) but with full access to the fun stuff—archery, swimming, karaoke, horseback riding, evening activities . . . you name it. It's like "Dirty Dancing," only without all the drama.
Planning Notes
- Check the dates. Eastover hosts specific groups on specific dates; some weeks are specifically for singles, others for families. Check the calendar on the website before making plans.
- Independence day. A hallmark of an Eastover vacation is the kid freedom. Says the owner, "It's often the first time kids can go back to their rooms on their own."
- No air conditioning. A cabin without air conditioning is not for everyone. Those who appreciate the simplicity of the accommodations come back year after year.
- All inclusive. Meals and most activities are included in the room rate; biking and horseback riding are the exceptions, which require an extra fee.
