Quality Inn Lee Description

The main draw at this cute motel on Laurel Lake is the water. Rooms on the lake side get to wake up to it, and boats (pontoon, pedal, or row) are available for guest rental out back. There's a cute lakeside pool and free breakfast. Equally important, you get to stay in Lee for about half the price of the luxury resorts.

Planning Notes

    • Come midweek. Weekday prices are often a steal compared to weekend rates.
    • Simple things. As its name suggests, the Inn is no Four Seasons: rooms are basic, but clean. And it's on a lake!
    • Check online. Being part of a big chain nets the benefit of big-chain discounts, very often only available on the website.
    • Reserve early. The amenities and low rates are no secret. If you plan to visit during a summer weekend, reserve as soon as you know you're going.
    • Parking lot. The good news is the parking is free. The bad news is half the rooms overlook it. You'll pay a premium for the view, but it will be worth it if you're averse to looking at the highway.
