A favorite way to stay at the Cape is to rent a beach house. But since rentals start booking up in January for the season ahead, hotels are a great alternative for families who don't plan their summer vacation so far in advance. The Ocean Edge Resort and Club offers great programs for children ages 4 to 12 years, including pirate adventures, kite making, bike-riding excursions, and a Hawaiian day. There are six pools (including one just for toddlers), but you may never want to spend time in them since it's just a short walk to the bayside beach.
