Historical, beautiful and very affordable, St. Vincent"s is an economical option in the heart of New Orleans. In the Garden District, just a 5 Min bus ride from the French Quarter and three blocks from the Convention Center, the Colonial Victorian building was built in 1861 as an orphanage founded by Margaret Haughery, the famous New Orleans philanthropist. St. Vincent"s is a testament to her unique life and it special history is recognized by the Historic Commission. The decor is simple - white wicker furnishings and pretty floral fabrics. Rooms have phones, AC, TV (no cable). Enjoy internet access for your laptop in the spacious sitting room. Full Southern Breakfast is available in the very pretty dining room.
