Saddlebrook Resort Description

Sports-loving families will appreciate the amenities at this large luxury resort, which has two golf courses and forty-five tennis courts in addition to sand volleyball courts, a basketball court, a large fitness center, and three pools (plus a full-service spa for rejuvenating after long work-outs). Book a one- or two-bedroom suite, stock up the kitchen, and make yourselves at home.

Planning Notes

Camps galore. Kids and adults can sign up for numerous tennis and golf camps, offered year-round and for different skill levels. In addition, the S'Kids Club provides half- or full-day childcare for kids ages 4 to 12 on a per-day or per-week basis; babysitting services are available separately for those younger than 4 (call for details).

On-site dining. Guests at the resort can choose from six different dining options, ranging from a casual coffee bar to upscale dining. Many off-site restaurants are nearby as well -- try Los Vallarta Mexican restaurant (5335 Village Market in Wesley Chapel) for casual family dining.

Out of the way. It's a positive or a negative depending upon your perspective, but the resort is about 20 minutes from Canoe Escape, 30 minutes from Busch Gardens, 40 minutes from Tampa International Airport, and over an hour from Clearwater and St. Petersburg beaches.
