The Granville Island Hotel is perfectly located for active families with busy daytime itineraries and early bedtimes. Perched on the edge of Granville Island, it's only a short walk to Granville Island's many attractions, including the Kids Market and Water Park. Big families will appreciate the larger rooms in the original wing, and sleepy tots who need downtime will enjoy the on-demand movie service on the hotel TV. Be sure to request a room with a balcony and a view of False Creek.
Planning Notes
- Experience Vancouver's nightlife. Babysitting services are available with 24 hours notice. The cost is $18 per hour for one or two children, with an extra $2 per child after that. Sitters can stay as long as eight hours, or even longer with hourly overtime of $2 per child.
- Limited bus service. If you don't have a car available, the hotel can be hard to get to late at night.
- Get physical. A gym next door offers basketball, tennis, aerobics, and other fitness activities.
