Toronto's largest indoor/outdoor pool means year-round swim time. Super Nintendo in the room means never having to hear "I'm bored." Eaton Centre, with more than 230 retailers and a spectacular glass roof, is around the corner and Nathan Phillips Square, with its winter ice rinks and summer art shows, is across the street, so transportation is never an issue.
Planning Notes
- Tot in tow? Families traveling with young children will love the Family Guest Rooms that include a toy chest and child-size furniture. The in room fridge and microwave mean warming up a baby bottle or popping some corn while you watch an in-room movie is a breeze.
- Parking. Unless you're planning to use the car a lot, skip the $40 valet charge (with in/out privileges) at the hotel and park across the street under city hall for $14 a day.
- Wi-fi. Forego the in-bed e-mails ($14.95 per day) and have the kids write to friends from the lobby of the hotel where the "Link@Sheraton powered by Microsoft" offers free computer access where they can send e-mails, surf the Internet and stay connected loved ones back home.
