Delta Chelsea Hotel Description

Younger ones get welcome gifts at their own kid-friendly check-in counter and teens have a lounge just for themselves. In the heart of Toronto and steps from the subway, the hotel's Family Fun Zone, a multiroom play area for the under-18 crowd, and the only indoor waterslide in downtown Toronto will make checking out tough on everybody.

Planning Notes

  • Send them to Camp. Camp Chelsea runs on Saturdays in the winter months, daily in the summer, and offers indoor and outdoor activies , art and crafts and qualified camp counsellors for kids aged 5-12. Nightly scheduled activities are open to parents to join in ($40 for first child, $25 for additional children per 1/2 day) .
  • Take them to the beach. Chelsea Beach on Centre Island offers the beachtime they are craving, a hop, skip and quick boat ride away from the city. While you're there, explore the rest of the island or simply lounge in the sun. With lifeguards, change rooms, and bike rentals on site you won't want for anything more.
  • Start the fun in your room. Regular rooms aren't tiny but if you're going to be in town for a while or have more than four people in your family, you'll be grateful for these apartment style suites which have separate bedrooms, kitchen, living room and play areas for the kids.($200 and higher per night) .
  • Come and go as you please. Parking runs $26 per day, but full in and out privileges mean you can use the car when you need it and take public transportation when that is more convenient.
  • Stick to your budget. Kids younger than 17 stay free with a parent or guardian; kids younger than 6 eat free from the kids menu and kids 7-12 eat half price from the regular menu (or regular price from the kids menu).
