Treebones Resort Description
This unique family-friendly eco-resort will make your kids feel like the Swiss Family Robinson for a night or two at least. Located high on a bluff directly overlooking the Pacific, there's a pool, plenty of room to run and shout, and even a "nest" made of sticks with a comfy mattress inside that's so much fun people sometimes even sleep in it. The yurts come in several sizes from just big enough for two people to a gigantic family sized one complete with a ping-pong table inside. This isn't "roughing it" by any means, however; the linens are high thread-count, the floors are polished hardwood, and each yurt has a private deck with a view. There's also a fabulous restaurant and outdoor sushi bar for mom and dad.
Planning Notes
- Yurts aplenty. The resort is made up of a gorgeous lodge with a fireplace, sitting room, restaurant and book and gift shop, and 16 individual private yurts. The yurts closest to the ocean also tend to be a little further away from the lodge (and central bathroom) so if you anticipate needing to take little ones to the bathroom in the middle of the night, choose accordingly.
