Ocean Beach Club Resort and Hotel Description
This high-end, beachfront resort hotel isn't just family-friendly -- it's designed with kids in mind. Three pools (two outdoor, one indoor) equipped with sprayers, waterfalls, and twirling water toys, plus a supervised game room and daily activities may make kids forget they're just steps from the ocean. All the kid-friendly fun doesn't mean adults have to suffer, though -- upscale amenities like flat-screen televisions, luxurious bedding, and hip decor prove the hotel is designed for them, too.
Planning Notes
- Pack lightly. Laundry rooms are located on odd-numbered floors; ask for detergent at the front desk.
- Ocean and pool views. All rooms on the east side of the hotel face the ocean and overlook the pools; the balconies are fantastic for watching the sunrise.
- Beware the sales pitch. Many of the rooms and suites are for sale as time-shares. Take a pass on the "welcome package" to avoid the sales pitch.
- Better than home. For a real splurge, reserve one of the oceanside penthouses. Connected two- and three-bedroom suites, complete with full kitchen and washer and dryer, offer the ideal combination of luxury and convenience.
