If you're looking for convenient, casual family dining that actually tastes great, stop at the John Colter Cafe Court while visiting Colter Bay Village in Grand Teton National Park. There's a full service, sit-down restaurant right next door (the Chuckwagon) with a breakfast buffet, but for a quick in-and-out meal, the Cafe Court can't be beat.
Planning Notes
- Eat with a view. Sit at the low counter facing the windows for a view of the Tetons. Watch for ground squirrels scurrying back and forth gathering nesting materials.
- Don't fret about the lack of a kids' menu. Kid-friendly offerings include hot dogs, quesadillas, and a deli sandwich, and there's chocolate and unflavored milk for sale in the drink coolers.
- Try the tacos. Whether it's wild salmon or free-range chicken, the house specialty tacos are fresh and delicious.
