Go ahead and giggle at the name of this place; everyone does. But even those claiming to be blasé about Homer Simpson's favorite treat will sing the praises of the freshly made, still-warm "Great Memories Buttermilk Donuts." One bite of these sugar-covered gems at the family style "Logging Camp Breakfast" will explain the (quickly moving) line out the front door upon arriving.
Planning Notes
- Start your day here. Breakfast is the best time to go, with plenty of kid-pleasing choices from pancakes to scrambled eggs to sausage links (skip the biscuits and gravy and potatoes, which pale in comparison).
- A family dining no-brainer. The family style service is a dream come true for busy families; no thought is required as an assortment of food appears at your table moments after sitting down.
- Take some to go. Doughnuts are available to go in packs of six or twelve.
- Beware the breakables. Keep busy little kids close while waiting to be seated, as there are plenty of breakable souvenirs within grasping distance in the gift shop.
- Plastic friendly. Most major credit cards are accepted, but not American Express.
