Grampa Tony's Description
This down-to-earth, locally owned pizza and ice cream parlor on Madeline Island is as kid-friendly as it gets. Order a scrumptious submarine sandwich on fresh homemade bread, Tony's special pepperoni and sausage pizza, or a pasta dinner at the counter and then eat on the upstairs deck, at the picnic tables outside, or at the tables inside.
Planning Notes
- Bring quarters. Kids will love the six arcade games in the back.
- Dogs are welcome. This pet-friendly restaurant will arrange for someone (most likely one of the owner's five children) to pet-sit your pooch outside while you order your food.
- Go elsewhere for formal dining. Lotta's, just down the street, is open daily from 5:30 p.m. during the summer and dishes up upscale gourmet cuisine.
