Stoney's Kingfishers Seafood House Description
The dock-side location of this restaurant is reason enough to dine here, but the top-notch food will keeping you coming back for more. Stoney's offers a wide range of fresh seafood prepared just about any way you like it, including local crab, clams, and rockfish (a deliciously mild, flaky white fish that's also known as striped bass). Kids 10 and yougner can feast on a cluster of crab legs for only $10 or keep it safe with grilled cheese or a burger.
Planning Notes
- Crab, crab, and more crab. The crab cakes are highly recommended by locals (they have just the right combination of crispy outside and tender inside, with large chunks of crab throughout), but you can also order crab dip, crab balls, mushrooms stuffed with crab, and two kinds of crab soup here.
- Don't forget the hush puppies. Order them as an appetizer or as a compliment to your meal.
- Nearly all seafood. Although there are a few chicken and steak items, nonfish eaters have few options here; vegetarians will have to get by with a salad.
