One World Everybody Eats Description
With a menu that changes daily but that always includes fresh, organic food (everything from a lentil spinach loaf to ham and vegetable scramble), this restaurant is like none other in the world. There are no fixed prices—you "donate" what you think the food is worth and what you can afford—and there is always complimentary rice and dahl for people who can't pay. It's so unique that your family may forget tourism and spend a Sunday morning helping in the café's organic garden instead.
Planning Notes
- Tiny bites. "Some is great and some is gross!" said one 9-year-old. This sustainable co-op encourages conscious consumption and asks that you specify how much you want of each item. Try a tiny bit of everything to expose your kids to new foods.
- Sit in the back. There's cozy seating and big, comfortable chairs. You'll feel more like you're at a friend's house than at a restaurant.
