Lion House Pantry Description
As popular with tourists as it is with locals, this bustling cafeteria-style restaurant is a real Salt Lake City experience. Grab a tray, then choose from the many main dishes and sides (the stuffed pork chops are famous). Don't forget to take a roll!
Planning Notes
- No reservations. Simply walk in, get your meal, and hunt for a table.
- Eat lunch early. The restaurant opens at 11 a.m., and by noon it's elbow-to-elbow crowded.
- On Temple Square. This is a convenient place to eat if you're visiting Temple Square or anywhere downtown.
- Chicken for children. Lion Pantry chefs are the "kings of chicken," typically serving up stuffed chicken and chicken strips or grilled chicken with cream sauce, all popular with kids.
