The Lake House Description
The menu is simple (burgers, sandwiches, hot dogs, fries) and the food is good, but at the Lake House it's all about the location -- it's in Discovery Green, the new downtown urban park. Dine on the restaurant's patio and soak in the views of the park's towering oaks and one-acre lake, plus the beautiful Houston skyline.
Planning Notes
- Eat, drink, and be merry. The park includes, among other things, a well-equipped playground (located not far from the restaurant), plus a model-boat lake and interactive fountains.
- Upscale eats. The Grove, a more upscale eatery, is also located within the park.
